Meet the Dalby Forest Team
Del Fitchett
I started out as an instructor in 2007 and moved on to Deputy Dawg in 2008! I have worked as a tree surgeon for two years (quite handy!) and was a PGL instructor for a whole 9 years, terrorizing children!
I enjoy biking, climbing and steak and chips and dislikes people thinking the cabin is an ice cream parlour!
Jay Khan
I previously worked in Australia and South Africa doing outdoor pursuits and working on high ropes courses. I enjoy Snowboarding and a good scotch (although not together!) This is my first season at Go Ape!
Dave Shelton
I have 9 years (and 177 days!) in the royal Artillery under my belt. I also spent 4 years with the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team, known as the Flying Gunners, where I sustained many injuries including a fractured Pelvis!
I then went on to be a self employed electrician and did Dalby's electric, and that's how I heard about Go Ape! I freelanced for two years before joining full time this year.
Lucy McGuire
I have been a gorilla since Dalby opened in 2007, and am currently the sites pregnant primate, expecting my very own little baboon in September! I have 5 years of nursing and care work experience and recently travelled round Eastern Europe last January, covering 5 countries in 2 weeks! I used to run a designer clothes shop called Lucy Couture and have enjoyed the occasional festival. I love a good old bbq with my friends and lots of food!
Mark Fall
Fall by name, NOT by nature, thankfully!
I started at Dalby mid 2008 but prior to that was in the army for 3 years. I am now doing a part time college course in joinery.
I enjoy climbing, fun times and just being a right old scallywag!
Matthew Gilling
I started here when the course opened in 2007. Prior to that, I worked for four years as a steel erector.
I enjoy surfing (having the benefit of living on the coast!), walking with my dog, Ollie, and climbing. I have recently bought a motor bike and enjoy buzzing about the moors on that! I am also expecting a little baboon in July (well, my wife is!)
Jess Jameson
I have a degree in Sports/Science and have just started at Dalby. I have lived in Britain for 12 years, after being born and raised on the Costa del Sol so I'm still getting used to the temperatures in Yorkshire, especially Dalby's eco system!
Relocated from Go Ape at Moors Valley (New Forest) without relying on sat-nav!! I have previously worked in children's residential centres around UK and Europe and was Chief Instructor for last 5 years. Originally a brummie lad but don't hold that against me!! I enjoy working and playing in the great outdoors and am happy to be in one of the best playgrounds in the country....Yorkshire.
