Due to the rural nature of our locations, postcodes are not always accurate when using satellite navigation. Please always check the route it has given you before setting off, and cross reference with a map.

Dalby Forest can be reached from either the A169 Pickering to Whitby road or the A170 via Thornton Le Dale. Follow the brown tourist signs for Dalby, The Great Yorkshire Forest.

From the A169 north of Pickering turn down the road at the Fox and Rabbit public house following brown tourist signs for Dalby Forest. Follow this road for approximately 2 miles until a left turn marked by another brown tourist sign takes you into the forest.

From the A170 enter Thornton le Dale and turn up the road between the Buck Inn and the traffic lights, Whitbygate, and follow this road for about 2 miles until a right turn marked by another brown tourist sign takes you in to the forest. Continue through the Forestry Commission toll booth and continue along the Forest Drive until you see signs for Go Ape. Park in either the main car park or continue 100m beyond that to the car park area outside the Go Ape cabin. Toilets are in the main Visitors' Centre.

Due to the heavy volume of weekend and holiday traffic some roads in the area can be very slow e.g. A64 York ringroad and roads through Pickering. Please allow plenty of time to ensure that you arrive ready to sign in and start at your booking time.

Go Ape locations are now available on Garmin SatNav systems as a Point of Interest.
