Sandwiched between the River Severn and the River Wye you’ll find Beechenhurst, Forest of Dean. This peaceful location is home to our Forest of Dean Treetop Adventure course so bring the whole family for some giggles and fun on our high ropes course. With great views and lots of other opportunities to keep you busy this location is ideal for making special memories with younger age groups.
Treetop Adventure is designed for mini explorers over 1m tall and families looking for high ropes adventure.
Treetop Adventure Plus a step up from Treetop Adventure, perfect for those who have already gained confidence on the classic course or slightly older thrill-seekers (6+years).
Just 10 minutes down the road at our sister site Forest of Dean Mallards Pike you'll find Treetop Challenge and Forest Segways.

At Forest of Dean you will find our Treetop Adventure, Challenge and Segway activities, these are split over two sites which are 10 minutes apart. Forest of Dean Beechenhurst is home to Treetop Adventure and Treetop Adventure Plus while Forest of Dean Mallards Pike offers Treetop Challenge and Segway.
The ancient Forest of Dean is one of the few remaining royal forests in England. Its mystical, magical settings inspired Tolkien’s writing – so you can expect something pretty special as you explore the forest canopy.
This is a forest designed for family fun – and you’ll want a full day to uncover everything it has to offer. Walk, run or cycle your way around – there are routes for all kinds of explorers.
Follow the famous Sculpture Trail, a 4.8-mile route where each sculpture has been created to reflect the forest’s unique environment and rich history.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to Beechenhurst Café. Choose from a range of delicious food, snacks and refreshing drinks, or find a sunny spot in the picnic area. Little explorers will love the large, imaginative play area.
If you’re still up for more exploring once you've left Beechenhurst, visit Symonds Yat Rock for beautiful views of the Wye Valley and great woodland walks. Or take a seat and enjoy the view on a relaxing steam train ride through the trees aboard the Dean Forest Railway.
