Hey Goape!

That fine Monday I did Go ape at Haldon Forest in Devon I shan't forget! Okay, so I've done the zip wire twice now (PGL and Center Parcs: Longleat), but, unlike goape of course, the people running the zip wire doing all the safety harness checks and all the fiddly bits for you, thereby it was merely an experience just to feel the thrill of zip down a cable at top speed, as apposed to teaching the nitty-gritty and then leaving you to do it yourself. You guys at Goape, on the other hand, have done it in a way as to, not only give the opportunity to experience the thrill, but to also learn how to gear up INDEPENDENTLY (however, with a fair bit of assistance from the supporting adult!). Although I'd done Goape before at Grizedale and, once I'd got up there, didn't feel at all nervous or on tenter-hooks practically, I felt the nerves come back to me slightly before I did Goape at Haldon. Overall, though, the goape experience ended up being more enjoyable and less nerve-wracking than I first thought on the day before the 3:00pm group (the one I was in) had first, and that was down to me following the safety rules and staff being a terribly helpful, friendly and forthcoming bunch.
One thing that I can say that I like about Haldon Forest over Grizedale is that it's in a prettier location and set apart more from a busy road! I now feel that, from the two Goape courses I've done, I can safely say the thrill's now got in my blood and I'll be Goape-ing on all the courses throughout England (and the one in Wales and Scotland)!!!

I had such an amazing time at Go Ape and so, so, so want to go again, really soon! I took a friend as a surprise but didn't know that he was petrified of heights haha! But he still did it!!! I can't remember the name of our instructor but he was really good and proffessional at the same time!! As were the rest of the team that we met on our way round. Go Ape bought as a unique christmas present for 3 boys aged 15-22 years. The experience on the day was fun and enjoyable giving all of us a rare good day out in each others company, when they would normally not willingly associate with a parent.

Go ape last weekend was just as good as the first time round, if not better. The staff were excellent and extremely welcoming. I'd like to mention that Ian from the Haldon team was terrific - he coped extremely well with 13 very dizzy girls especially during his welcome brief!! I would certainly visit again and hope to arrange another venture soon. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We had a fantastic time at Go Ape, I thought it was very well run and really liked that after the safety training we could just make our own way around the course. The course could be more challenging (maybe we need a Go Ape Extreme!), but it was a really fun experience and everybody in our group enjoyed themselves a lot. The instructors were all very helpful and I have already recommended it to several friends.
