  There are various walks from the forest that lead up to the impressive folly Solomon's Temple and give fantastic views over Buxton and the surrounding countryside. There is also an orienteering course set up in the forest, for the more adventurous.

  There are a number of picnic tables located in the woods surrounding the course. There is no BBQ hire available.

  There is a children's play area located at Pooles Cavern and in Buxton near the lake. There is also a little train going around the lake for young children.

  Toilets can be found at the Visitors Centre which is at the other end of the car park to the Go Ape cabin.
