Whinlatter Forest Park

Cumbria

The highest Go Ape course in the country, at 360 metres above sea level. It's so high you can see all the way to Scotland! Get a thrill from riding a zip slide through skies, over water and through England's only true mountain forest. Located in the North Lakes and home to Bassenthwaite ospreys, this is Go Ape at its most untamed.

Please note

There is a mountain bike race in the forest on Sunday 21st March with 500 riders starting at 10am. It will go on most of the day so car parking might take some time as well as travelling over the pass.

We loved go ape at grizedale when we went with our kids a few years and decided to try whinlatter on our wedding anniversary. Had a fab time and will definitely try some of the other courses.

I always enjoy go ape and have experienced them in different parts of the country but as i said above find it frustrating having to wait around for very slow people.... we get very bored!

It was high up and the courses were scarey. I have never done anything like it before. I want to go again!!
