Meet the Whinlatter Forest Team
Clair Fowler
I’ve worked for a few different Go Ape sites but love the Lakes the most. I enjoy all outdoor activities and I’m especially looking forward to exploring all the spectacular climbing in this beautiful part of the country. I’m also enjoying learning wood carving and playing the Guitar.
Rob Thomson
I have worked at Go Ape Whinlatter since it opened last year. I have worked my way up to Deputy Manager which I'm really proud of! Go Ape Is the best place I've ever worked! If you don't find me swinging in trees you can find me up in the gym or up in the mountains running, climbing or doing something to do with been in the outdoors! I'm a tuff Cumbrian lad and proud of it!!
Rob Thorburn
I enjoy winter, water sports and trying new things. I love hanging around in the forest at Go Ape! I also enjoy travelling to interesting places.
Terry O'Donovan
I have been an outdoor instructor for 17 years; I still do a lot of walking, biking, climbing and sailing. This is my third year working for Go Ape! And I love it because most people leave having had a fantastic time.
Martin Routledge
Like most of the team I find Whinlatter a fantastic place to work and the views are spectacular. As you would expect I love being out in the hills climbing and exploring and as you can see from the photo I also have a keen interest in birds.
Lee Warren
This is my first year at Go Ape! and I love being in the outdoors. I am proud of being a Lancashire lad and being from Preston.
Mark Rhodes
This is my first season working for Go Ape! And I'm really enjoying it. When I'm not hear I'll either be on my bike, hanging off a rock face or if there's snow up a mountain with my board.
Cheryl Wilson
I've worked at Go Ape! For two seasons now and work between Whinlatter and Grizedale. I enjoy meeting new people and working in outdoors.
Frosty
I am the glue that holds the Whinlatter Tribe together. I am also secretly the course manager. When I'm not busy with my Go Ape tasks I love walks in the forest and taking afternoon naps next to the heater.
Iain Robinson
I've been working for Go Ape since March and have been juggling my time in the trees with studying for a degree in outdoor leadership. When not working I can be found climbing or kayaking in the Lake District.
