Please note

There is a mountain bike race in the forest on Sunday 21st March with 500 riders starting at 10am. It will go on most of the day so car parking might take some time as well as travelling over the pass.

From the M6 heading north, take the exit at junction 40 for the A66. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A66 heading to Workington/Keswick. Follow the A66 for 18 miles. Keep following signs for Cockermouth, Workington and Whitehaven. Take the 3rd left into Braithwaite village and head for Whinlatter Visitor Centre passing the Royal Oak pub. Follow the road for 4 miles heading for Whinlatter visitor centre. When you arrive at the Visitor Centre Car park you will see the Go Ape cabin.

Important! Due to the rural nature of our locations, postcodes are not always accurate when using satellite navigation. Please always check the route it has given you before setting off, and cross reference with a map.
